Hi! And welcome to the Joslyn Chase blog. There’s going to be a lot going on over here for the next several months and I hope you’ll join me! My name is Joslyn and I’ve been styling for the past 5 years as a side hustle. It’s been such an incredible creative outlet and has been so rewarding getting to work with clients like you. While I hope to continue styling forever, I’ve always dreamed of having my own clothing line and I’m planning to make that dream come true in the fall of 2022!

Several months into the pandemic, while I was scrolling Instagram for probably the 100th time that day, I got a beloved Instagram ad for a program called Factory45. I did some digging on the program and it promised to teach you how to launch a clothing line from scratch with an emphasis on ethical fashion and sustainability. Since all I was doing was baking banana bread, I figured it was as good a time as any to start figuring out how to make this dream a reality. 

I finished the program over the course of several months and by the end I was, quite frankly, overwhelmed. Turns out building a clothing line from scratch is a real chore. At that point there was still so much unknown about the state of the world, would we ever even need outside clothes again!? So I just stopped and decided I would get back to it when I felt ready. And about 6 months ago, I felt ready. So here we go. Starting a clothing line from the ground up.

I’m going to be sharing the whole process with you, the ups and downs, the struggles and triumphs. I’m really excited and really terrified, but I’m hoping to have lots of fun along the way.
